why is reforestation important?
1.6 billion people worldwide are directly dependent on forest products.
Every minute, the amount of trees cut down would be able to fill 20 football fields.
Only 24% of total energy sources today are renewable.
About 30% of the earth’s total surface is covered by trees.
A ten-meter tree produces about 118 kg of oxygen per year.
Deforestation is expected to kill off 28,000 species over the next 25 years.

WHY SUPPORT US?
We are the only project in the Czech Republic that focuses exclusively on supporting publicly owned forests. We do not support planting initiatives on land owned by private individuals nor on land destined to be cut down for wood. In cooperation with Protected Areas (CHKO) and National Parks, we plant only where it is needed and mostly biologically protected tree species that no one will cut down in a hundred years

WHERE DO WE PLANT?
We work exclusively with public land owners in Protected Areas (CHKOs) and National Nature Reserves (NPRs). Thanks to our partners, we only plant where there is a serious need (e.g. in bark beetle-ravaged regions)
